The church is a special modification of that branch of Protestant architecture that began to develop in Prussian Silesia. Only five articular churches, which witness the times of the Reformation, have retained their original appearance in Slovakia.
The church was originally built in Paludzi. The relocation began in 1974 and the solemn consecration of the reconstructed church was on August 22, 1982. The church is the last, undoubtedly the most important artistic expression of Slovak wooden architecture. Articular churches form an independent group in Slovakia. They differ from Catholic and Greek Catholic wooden churches.
